“Sulden am Ortler, almost 2000 meters above sea level, has been a first-class destination for mountaineers and skiers since 1804 (first ascent of the Ortler): snow-sure, developed and yet quiet. In addition to hiking trails, ski slopes and attractions, it is above all the cable cars and lifts that take you up into the high mountains in winter and summer: from there, mountain tours and ski runs are possible in an unmistakable mountain setting: Kanzellift with midday sun, Madritsch with an average altitude of 3000m a class of its own, the lifts at the end of the world Ferner (Langenstein) and the Rosimbahn offer skiing fun for every ability and every taste. Plus countless touring options and cultural activities. Values such as tranquillity – no waiting times -, grandeur – with the highest mountain in South Tyrol – and deceleration come into their own here. Plus family friendliness, moderate prices and good-humored hosts. The former “Siberia of Tyrol”, today “little Tibet”, has become an insider tip for tourists.”
